This week’s been an intensive learning curve into the WordPress CMS platform. I was very apprehensive about doing this as I thought it would be a quagmire of programming hell but it has turned out ok. I’ve managed to customise WordPress enough to rebuild my previous HTML site, now with the WordPress back-end so I can have my blog and site in the same place! Woohoo! Implementing the image-based main navigation was a bit of a road block. I tried the rollover states but gave up (not without a struggle though!). Static images will have to do!

Very pleased with my efforts.

Apparently when you give praise to your kids, it’s good to tell them exactly what character trait you are praising them for. This will help them identify good character traits and practice them. My aunt told me this and gave me a card from charactercity.hk listing all these traits.

I think it’s a brilliant idea.
